Minority shareholders in Montenegro’s 13. jul – Plantaže, grouped through the Montenegro Association of Minority Shareholders (CAMA), have launched an initiative to combine holdings into a package of about 10% of the company, or around 18 million shares, at a proposed buyout price of 0.50 euros per share, CAMA said. The group plans to offer the consolidated stake transparently to interested investors, following reported interest from domestic and foreign investors in the shares.

The proposed price matches the shares’ nominal value and is less than 25% of the per-share value implied by the company’s latest asset valuation. At that price, the package would be worth about 9 million euros.

Pooling holdings is intended to give minority shareholders greater negotiating power. It would also provide potential investors with transparent and equal access to a sizeable ownership stake. The offer is intended for all interested investors.

“This approach supports capital market development, protects all shareholders and reduces room for non-transparent transactions and deals against minority owners,” CAMA said.

Similar initiatives have previously involved Budva Riviera, Trebjesa Brewery, the Port of Bar and Ulcinj Riviera. The group’s stated principles include acting in the interests of minority shareholders, supporting transparent market processes and equal access to information, and seeking fair market valuations for shares.
